THE COMPAY
Our client is a national, multi-site organisation operating in a regulated professional environment. The business is investing in strengthening its WHS capability and has clear executive commitment to building a consistent, practical, and sustainable approach to safety.

THE ROLE
This is a newly created, standalone WHS role established to lead the organisation through its next phase of safety maturity. The role will design, embed, and govern the WHS framework across a geographically dispersed operation, providing clear direction, structure, and education. Working closely with a responsive executive team, the focus is on building capability, establishing fit-for-purpose systems, and creating consistent safety leadership across the business.

KEY SKILLS
• Ability to design and implement WHS management systems from the ground up
• Strong command of Australian WHS legislation and regulatory requirements
• Executive-level influencing and advisory capability
• Practical approach to risk management, incident investigation, audits, and reporting
• Clear communicator who can translate legislative requirements into operational action
• Comfortable operating autonomously as the single point of WHS accountability
• Experience working across multi-site or dispersed environments

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Degree-qualified in Work Health & Safety or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a WHS specialist or leadership role
• Experience in healthcare, veterinary, animal health, agriculture, or similarly regulated sectors preferred
• Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel
