Position
We are seeking a Work Health and Safety Manager to lead the development, delivery and continuous improvement of WHS strategies, frameworks and programs. This role oversees a team of WHS specialists and works closely with senior stakeholders to uplift WHS capability, culture and performance across a large, growing organisation.
Requirements
- Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (higher qualifications desirable). Incident investigation (e.g., ICAM), auditing and training/assessment qualifications highly valued.
- Demonstrated experience managing direct reports to influence a positive safety culture.
- Proven experience designing and implementing best-practice WHS and wellbeing programs in complex environments.
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience driving uplift in WHS maturity and leading initiatives in environments with emerging or developing WHS systems.
- Strong change and project management capability, with the ability to deliver within time, cost and quality expectations.
- Knowledge of work and non-work-related injury/illness management; first aid experience advantageous.
- Experience managing psychosocial risks and working within sectors such as aged care, healthcare, home care or community services preferred.
- Flexible working options but must be able to travel when required.
