Known for delivering technically challenging brownfield projects, the business works closely with major clients across manufacturing and heavy industry to safely deliver infrastructure upgrades within live production environments.
Position
An opportunity is available for a Safety Supervisor to support the delivery of brownfield construction projects within an operational production facility.
Working closely with Project Managers, contractors and operations teams, you will play a key role in ensuring that construction activities are delivered safely without disrupting day-to-day production operations. This is a hands-on, site-based role where you will coordinate contractors, manage high-risk work activities and ensure all project works are delivered in line with the client’s safety management framework.
Responsibilities will include reviewing safety documentation and supporting mobilisation activities, coordinating contractor onboarding and competency verification, issuing and managing high-risk work permits, and leading site inductions and daily pre-starts. You will also support risk assessments, hazard identification, site inspections, safety observations and incident investigations while working closely with operations teams to coordinate isolations and minimise disruption to ongoing production.
Requirements
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience supporting construction works within brownfield or operational environments
- Experience supervising contractors and coordinating high-risk construction activities
- Strong knowledge of permit-to-work systems and isolation procedures
- Experience leading site inductions, pre-start meetings and safety briefings
- Strong capability in risk assessments, audits and incident investigations
- Construction White Card
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Working at Heights and Confined Space certifications (within 2 years)
- Trade or operational background highly regarded
