Z energy is supporting a leading contractor delivering complex data centre projects across Sydney’s CBD. We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Coordinator to provide safety leadership and coordination across high-tech construction environments.

This role will suit a hands-on safety professional with strong communication skills and the ability to influence teams to achieve best practice WHS outcomes on site.

The Opportunity You’ll be responsible for supporting the project delivery team in implementing and maintaining WHS compliance, fostering a strong safety culture, and ensuring alignment with organisational policies, systems, and legislative requirements.
Working across all phases of the project—from mobilisation through to completion—you will play a key role in promoting continuous improvement and a proactive approach to risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor WHS activities and compliance across site operations
• Conduct daily site walks, inspections, and observations to identify and resolve hazards
• Support the delivery of toolbox talks, pre-starts, inductions, and incident investigations
• Assist in the development and review of safety documentation, SWMS, and risk assessments
• Promote a strong safety culture and encourage engagement across all levels of the project
• Maintain accurate safety records and reporting within established systems
• Coordinate emergency response drills and support incident management processes

• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum requirement)
• Experience in a similar safety role within the construction or data centre environment
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, codes of practice, and construction industry standards
• Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills
• A proactive mindset with the ability to identify risks and drive continuous improvement
