THE ROLE

This is a site-based coordination role for someone who wants to be on the ground doing real work. Not strategic, not advisory, this is the person walking the site daily, keeping compliance tight, engaging the trades directly, and being the visible safety presence across live construction projects.

Reporting into the Senior Field Safety Advisor and State Operations Manager and working in close consultation with the EHSQ team, you will work across new builds, modular construction and fit-out, and heavy refurbishments for a team of 92 who average five years in the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Daily site walks - hazard ID, observations, and corrective actions
• SWMS reviews, risk registers, and permit administration
• Site inductions, toolbox talks, and pre-start meeting support
• Safety documentation - inspections, audits, and incident reports
• Incident and near-miss investigation support and formal reporting
• Emergency response coordination and site preparedness
• Communicating legislative and system updates to project teams

THE ESSENTIALS

• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is essential
• Candidates holding either permanent residency or citizenship and those who have local experience
• Some grounding in a construction environment
• Comfortable on site and credible with tradespeople and subcontractors
• Strong attention to detail with solid documentation discipline
• Able to work independently and build trust quickly on the ground
