SHEQ Advisor
The SHEQ Advisor plays a key role in promoting and embedding a proactive safety, health, environment, quality, and risk management culture across the major hazard facility and operations in Sydney. Acting as a trusted subject matter expert, this role partners closely with operational teams to deliver practical compliance solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.
You will be providing SHEQ advice, governance, and support to operations, maintenance, and engineering teams. Conducting regular site inspections, safety walkarounds, and engaging directly with employees, contractors, and stakeholders. Managing incident reporting and investigations. Supporting Risk assessments and documentation. Maintaining critical registers and systems, including risk, hazardous materials, and waste management data. Supporting internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with systems, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Key Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science, or related discipline
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a Health, Safety and Environment role within an operational or high-risk environment
  • Experience in Major Hazard Facility (MHF), fuel, chemical, or similar industries highly desirable
  • Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management, and compliance systems
  • Demonstrated experience in incident investigation, audits, and safety reporting
  • Ability to influence, engage, and build strong relationships with operational stakeholders
