Join a large, multi-site organisation committed to proactive safety and risk management across complex, high-risk operations. This role is responsible for strengthening the management of critical safety, health and wellbeing risks across the enterprise, providing expert advice, leading risk programs, and partnering with operational and executive teams to embed robust risk frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Role
- Lead the design, development and maintenance of enterprise-wide material risk programs, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and organisational objectives.
- Conduct risk reviews, Bowtie workshops, and incident analyses, providing formal reports suitable for senior leadership and Board-level audiences.
- Provide expert advice on safety, health and wellbeing risk management, including risk controls, assessments and investigations.
- Collaborate with operational leaders and business units to embed material risk strategies into daily operations and strategic initiatives.
- Support capability-building and knowledge-sharing initiatives across the organisation to enhance material risk awareness and management.
- Tertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety, Risk Management or a related discipline, with extensive experience in safety or risk advisory roles.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of WHS legislation, risk assessment methodologies, and critical risk management frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex safety data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to influence business decisions.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills, with experience working in matrix or multi-site organisations.
- Proven ability to lead risk-focused initiatives, manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments, and drive continuous improvement.
