My client is a niche company in what they do, regarded as one with incredibly high standards in a high risk world. 

They have a reputation for being precise in what they provide to construction scenarios and industrial builds.

Therefore HSEQ is highly valued and an intrinsic need to each and every installation. 

They have been a global market leader in construction related services as well as having an engineering and maintenance arm too.


This role reports in the National HSE Head and has a lot of autonomy.

Working from home a day a week, with two at home once settled in.

The role will be split as needed out in the field, WFH and in the corporate office South East of Sydney CBD.

The role drives continuous improvement in safety performance and supports leadership in implementing, maintaining and improving my client’s safety management system and safety culture.
  
Working closely with leadership, employees, customers, contractors and the global safety function to ensure safety is embedded into everyday operations.
   
Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and continuously improve the safety management system and safety culture.
  • Identify, assess and manage operational safety risks.
  • Monitor safety performance, conduct audits and ensure compliance with legal and company requirements.
  • Lead incident investigations and drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Set safety objectives, targets and improvement plans with leadership.
  • Develop safety awareness, competence, communication and employee engagement.
  • Support emergency preparedness and safety-related change initiatives.
  • Work with employees, customers, contractors and other stakeholders to improve safety performance.
  • Provide safety leadership and promote continuous improvement across the organization.
  
Key Requirements:

Australian or NZ experience needed as well as eligibility to work in Australia.
ICAM
Cert V in Health and Safety
Electrical background or experience within a HSE setting would be a plus
Lead HSEQ Initiatives
