An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled Safety, Health & Wellbeing (SH&W) Partner to support safety systems and programs across a fast-paced and growing logistics network. This role focuses on final stage delivery operations, including home delivery services and associated transport functions. You'll play a key role in embedding safety into daily operations and supporting continuous improvement in a dynamic, innovation-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical safety support and promote safe workplace behaviours.
- Implement and maintain compliance strategies aligned with internal safety frameworks and relevant legislation.
- Drive and maintain the safety management system, including policies, procedures, standards, and tools.
- Conduct risk assessments and offer behavioural and technical safety advice to support evolving business needs.
- Investigate serious incidents, identify root causes, and recommend actionable improvements.
- Support leaders in embedding safety practices into operations and driving cultural change.
- Contribute to safety learning initiatives and assurance programs.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safety is considered in all initiatives and remains compliant.
- Participate in agile work squads and adjust responsibilities as business needs evolve.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a safety-related role, in transport, logistics, or warehousing environments.
- Strong understanding of key safety risks including vehicle interactions, dangerous goods, manual handling, and contractor management.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and support operational teams with SH&W initiatives.
- Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety management system implementation.
- Solid communication skills with the ability to tailor engagement to different audiences.
- Proficient in managing competing priorities and adapting in a fast-changing environment.
