The Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Business Partner
to lead the safety function at one of Australia’s largest manufacturing sites. This is a hands-on leadership role
, where you’ll shape safety culture, influence behaviours, and make a tangible impact on the wellbeing of a diverse and dynamic workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the site safety function as the primary advisor for all health and safety matters.
- Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and supply chain teams to identify risks and implement practical, high-impact safety solutions.
- Conduct risk assessments and investigations, ensuring effective implementation of corrective actions.
- Design and deliver site-specific safety programs aligned with national safety strategies.
- Monitor and report on safety performance, leveraging data and insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Champion employee engagement through training, toolbox talks, and visible leadership presence on the floor.
- Coach and mentor frontline leaders to build safety capability and accountability across all levels.
- Collaborate with national HSE peers to share best practices and contribute to strategic safety initiatives.
You’re a hands-on safety professional who leads with empathy, confidence, and credibility. You know how to influence at all levels — from the factory floor to senior management — and thrive in fast-paced, high-performing environments.
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience within manufacturing, industrial, or FMCG environments.
- Strong working knowledge of Work Health & Safety legislation, systems, and risk management practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and inspire.
