A leading Australian manufacturer with global presence in building materials is seeking a Regional HSE Manager to join their evolving safety journey. This organisation operates manufacturing and distribution facilities across Australia.
Position
Reporting to the GM in Health & Safety, you will be leading HSE initiatives across multiple sites while managing a team. You will also be involved in partnering with the state-based executive team, senior leadership, front-line staff as well as unions to influence in high-risk environments and complex supply chains.
Requirements
You must obtain the below to be considered:
- Tertiary qualified in Workplace Health and Safety and or Environment or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in contemporary safety leadership and management working in a large, high-risk environment.
- Cultivate a positive safety culture by promoting awareness, safety engagement and accountability across all levels of the organisation
- Encourage the reporting of safety concerns and suggestions for improvement, fostering an environment of continuous enhancement.
- Must have led health & safety teams previously.
- Proven ability to build relationships with external parties such as regulators and unions to drive performance improvement.
- Extensive knowledge managing health and safety legislation and a clear understanding of current legislations within different states.
- Ideal experience influencing safety within a high-risk or heavy manufacturing environment.
