The Role
The National Workers Compensation Manager will lead national workers compensation and injury management programs, ensuring fair, timely and compliant outcomes for employees across all jurisdictions. This senior leadership role provides strategic direction, technical expertise, and operational oversight to strengthen early intervention, reduce claim costs, promote recovery‑focused practices, and optimise the Workers Compensation Management System.
You will influence senior stakeholders, partner with regulators and insurers, lead continuous improvement initiatives, uplift organisational capability, and champion a people‑centred approach supporting injured workers through safe and sustainable return‑to‑work outcomes.
Experience & Expertise
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in workers compensation and injury management across multi‑jurisdictional and/or high‑risk environments.
- Proven leadership of national workers compensation programs within self‑insured and insured schemes.
- Advanced capability managing complex, high‑risk and litigated claims.
- Strong understanding of workers compensation, injury management and safety legislation across multiple states.
- Demonstrated experience engaging with regulators, insurers, scheme agents, legal partners and external providers.
- High‑level communication, analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive organisational improvements.
