A leading organisation within the rail and infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced National EHS Manager to support major projects across Australia. Based in Melbourne, this role offers the opportunity to work across both strategic and operational safety functions within a collaborative and progressive environment.
Reporting into senior leadership, you will play a key role in driving EHS performance across multiple projects and business functions.
This is a highly relationship-driven role requiring someone who can influence and educate stakeholders across all levels of the organisation. The successful candidate will bring a balanced and pragmatic leadership style, with the ability to coach and support teams while maintaining strong governance and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain EHS management plans across major projects
- Support tender submissions and project mobilisation activities
- Conduct audits, inspections, assurance activities, and site engagements
- Partner with operational and engineering teams to drive positive safety culture
- Provide practical EHS advice and support to project stakeholders
- Facilitate risk assessments and support incident investigations
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Significant experience within rail, transport, or major infrastructure environments
- Strong background across both strategic and operational HSE functions
- Experience supporting complex project or contractor environments
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing capability
- Collaborative, approachable, and solutions-focused leadership style
- Strong written communication and documentation capability
- Ability to travel across project locations as required
