We are seeking an experienced Injury Management and Workers Compensation Specialist
to join a leading provider of logistics equipment, in a national Safety team. This role is pivotal in managing injury management & Workers Compensation, leading claims management, coordinating rehabilitation, and ensuring compliance with workers compensation legislation across multiple jurisdictions. The successful candidate will provide expert advice, drive effective injury prevention strategies, and contribute to a positive workplace safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate injury management and workers compensation claims across all Australian states and territories.
- Liaise with insurers, managers, and return-to-work coordinators to support effective rehabilitation and successful return-to-work outcomes.
- Administer workers compensation insurance policies, including claims cost reviews, premium projections, and compliance with renewal processes.
- Working with the safety team to conduct workplace injury investigations, identify root causes, and develop prevention strategies.
- Provide subject matter expertise, training, and coaching on injury management, return-to-work, and workers compensation matters.
- Analyse injury trends and deliver reports highlighting risks, costs, and opportunities for improvement.
- Certificate in RTW Coordination or relevant allied health qualification (desirable)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in injury management or workers compensation
- Strong knowledge of national workers compensation legislation
- Knowledge of case management, managing premiums and working with insurers/brokerages and reporting to the business accordingly
- Exceptional communication, time management, and relationship-building skills
- Empathetic, professional, and solution-focused approach
- Experience in incident investigation, auditing, and change management (desirable).
