Position 
We are seeking an experienced HSEQ Specialist to join a high-performing team in East Brisbane. In this critical role, you will support the delivery of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) objectives within a busy engineering and workshop environment. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll help foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with local legislation and international standards.

Our client is seeking someone who can bring experience implementing safety initiatives within high-risk/heavy industry environments, who is collaborative but can work autonomously taking a proactive approach to solving problems. Someone with strong legislation knowledge, who can promote a positive safety culture by building key relationships as well as adapt communication with a diverse workforce, will do well in this role.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety, required or equivalent
  • Previous experience in HSEQ roles within engineering/workshop settings
  • In-depth knowledge of HSEQ systems, tools, and investigation methods
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build a positive safety culture
  • Understanding of psychosocial risk management
  • Ability to implement initiatives and systems to align standards across health, safety and quality.
  • Experience managing return-to-work processes would be highly desirable.
