The Company
An award winning, international deconstruction and remediation contracting business. Responsibly dismantling infrastructure and structures to enable recycling and re-purposing of materials, carefully managing and removing hazardous materials, before remediating and rehabilitating the lands.

The Role  
The HSEQ Lead is responsible for ensuring health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) standards are met across the project. This role encompasses providing solutions for compliance, project support, risk management, and maintaining accreditation standards in a complex and dynamic environment.  

Role requirements:
  • Lead safety and quality initiatives, ensuring a safe working environment, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement. 
  • Conduct audits, risk assessments, and major incident investigations.
  • Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
  • Lead and develop the HSEQ team, fostering a proactive and safety-first culture - 2 HSEQ Advisors on site.
  • Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and stakeholders to align HSEQ objectives.
  • Provide expert advice and support on all project-related HSEQ matters.
  • Lead investigations and implement strategies to drive continuous improvements in safety and quality performance.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance workforce safety awareness and competency.
This is for a large-scale decommissioning, demolition and remediation project which will require on site support
 
About you 
You will be an experienced HSEQ leader with a minimum Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety and previous experience in renewable energy and High-Voltage environments. In addition, you will display strong knowledge of WHS regulations, ISO standards, and safety management systems. You will be a skilled leader with strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management, with experience across any of the following highly preferred: electrical projects, construction (built/civil), refinery, mobile plant and equipment.
