An Australian manufacturer recognised globally for their work in metal fabricated products. This company has evolved into becoming a key supplier for the architectural, civil, construction, industrial, and mining sectors across Australia.

Position  
As the HSEQ Coordinator, you will be required to step into this role and build relationships, coach staff and the leadership team, provide site management and personnel with technical support and advice. You will be involved in championing and driving the safety function on site and will be a key influence to all stakeholders, engaging with all levels including a diverse workforce, to achieve positive outcomes and continuously improve the safety culture and systems. 

Our client is seeking someone who brings autonomy and industry experience working within a high-risk environment, across critical risks such as: working at heights, with plant and mobile equipment, hot work and chain of responsibility. The ideal candidate will have experience in ISO accreditations, return-to-work and be able to comply with Australian legislations.

Requirements

You must obtain the below to be considered:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety, required or equivalent. 
  • A practical approach with strong knowledge of legislative requirements in safety and chain of responsibility.
  • Ability to adapt and engage with a diverse workforce.
  • Preferable experience managing HSE on-site within manufacturing or a blue collar, high-risk, heavy industry environment.
  • Have knowledge of ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001 and be able to maintain ISO accreditations.
  • Ideal experience in Return-To-Work, and be able to manage the process for injured employees.
  • On-site based role located in Western Sydney, 5 days a week with flexible options.
  • Must be Australian based with full working rights.
