THE ROLE
An experienced HSE Advisor is required to lead site safety on a live commercial construction project in Melbourne’s southeast. This is a standalone role where you’ll take full ownership of safety systems and compliance, working closely with the Site and Project Managers and reporting directly to the Director.
The scope includes structural demolition, modifications, and internal fit-out. No residential or high-risk scopes. The role would be suited to someone who is confident operating independently in a site-based environment and looking for long-term project continuity.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage daily safety operations and documentation on a team of 11
- Drive proactive consultation and safety communication on site
- Conduct audits, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage reporting
- Maintain oversight through all construction phases
- Roll onto future commercial or industrial builds in metro Melbourne
- Minimum Cert IV in Health & Safety
- 3–7 years' experience in a safety role within commercial or industrial construction (non-residential)
- Experience with Tier 2 or 3 builders as a principal contractor
- Strong communication and consultation skills with ability to work independently on site
