We are currently partnering with a leading national brand to recruit an experienced HSE Advisor for a major manufacturing organisation based in Western Sydney. This opportunity sits within a highly engaged HSE team and plays a key role in driving a strong behavioural safety culture on site.
The Opportunity
This is a Health and Safety Advisor position with a major manufacturing organisation offering a 6-month fixed-term contract with the potential to transition to a permanent. You'll be working closely with senior HSE leaders and key site stakeholders to implement WHS strategy, support contractor management, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
May include but are not limited to:
- Provide WHS support, coaching, and mentoring to employees, contractors, and site leaders
- Conduct daily toolbox talks, safety inspections, and audits
- Review and monitor subcontractor SWMS and safety documentation
- Champion a behavioural safety approach across all levels of the project
- Deliver WHS training sessions, including leadership and officer-level sessions
- Support the WHS committee and engage across site teams
- Assist with external audits, incident reporting, and compliance tracking
- Ensure alignment with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
- Contribute to the development and implementation of WHS strategy and plans
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 1 + years of WHS experience in high-risk environments such as manufacturing, infrastructure, or Facilities management
- Prior experience supporting plant installation and commissioning is highly desirable
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A hands-on, solutions-focused approach to safety
- Relevant WHS qualifications – minimum Cert IV
- Full working rights in Australia
- Competitive salary package – $100,000 + super (pro-rata)
- Monday to Friday mainly with occasional weekend, site-based in Western Sydney
- Potential to transition to a permanent role
- Work with a collaborative, experienced safety team
