Position
The Health Safety & Environment Manager is responsible for transforming safety leadership and culture through innovative strategic and operational management of work health and safety n order to ensure the highest standards across the breadth of total deployed workforce. It provides strategic direction for, and implementation of, a contemporary and comprehensive safety-management-system which provides robust quality assurance and fosters a proactive safety culture based on accountability, trust and ethical behaviour across the organisations activities.
With 3 direct reports this role reports to the National Safety & Risk Manager.
Health Safety & Environment Manager
- Appropriate qualifications, ideally at postgraduate level, in health and safety, organisational psychology or other relevant field
- Multidisciplinary team building to achieve health and safety outcomes with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Leadership of organisational culture change and business process transformation.
- Development of contemporary WHS strategies, methodologies and initiatives, particularly the design, implementation and evaluation within a large complex organisation.
- Leadership of organisational attainment and retention of ISO45001 certification
- Effectively building formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organisation.
