Position
As the Health & Safety Business Partner you will be supporting high-risk operations across Northern NSW and the ACT, with regular travel across approx. 30 highly-regulated sites. We are looking for someone with a practical mindset that is comfortable being boots on the ground. Experience working within a high-risk environment and the ability to engage with regulators are preferred to be considered for this role.
*You must be willing to be flexible with travel, as this position will require significant travel across multiple sites.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety, required or equivalent with a minimum requirement of a Certificate IV or Diploma in WHS
- Preferable experience driving WHS within construction, engineering, mining, industrial services or similar high-risk industries.
- Demonstrated experience working with and engaging regulatory bodies (particularly mining/resource regulators).
- Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders including senior leaders and a diverse workforce.
- High level of technical health & safety knowledge, with a practical, boots-on-the-ground mindset.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills and be confident engaging with highly qualified operational leaders and managers.
- Experience implementing H&S systems, risk management programs with the ability to drive cultural change.
- Flexible to travel regularly across Northern NSW and the ACT.
