This is a hands-on, site-based role supporting a busy industrial operation to maintain strong safety performance and embed a positive safety culture across the workforce.
The Role:
Working closely with site leaders, supervisors, and frontline employees, you'll provide practical health and safety support, conduct inspections and risk assessments, investigate incidents, and help drive continuous improvement across the site's safety systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide practical H&S advice and support to site leaders and employees
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Investigate incidents and near misses, and support corrective actions
- Support implementation of the site's Safety Management System
- Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training
- Monitor compliance with WHS legislation and internal standards
- Maintain accurate safety records and reporting
- Support contractor management and permit-to-work processes
- Diploma/Degree in WHS or equivalent experience
- Background as a H&S Advisor in an industrial, manufacturing, or heavy operations setting
- Solid knowledge of WHS legislation and safety management systems
- Experience conducting incident investigations and risk assessments
- Strong communication and stakeholder skills, able to influence at all levels
- Confident working autonomously and within a broader HSE team
- Current driver's licence
