Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert health and safety advice to management and employees in accordance with the relevant codes of practice.
- Develop, review, and implement WHS policies, safe work method statements (SWMS), and risk assessments.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections, site audits, and hazard identification across South West Sydney operations.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Maintain accurate WHS records including incident registers, inspection reports, training records, and SafeWork NSW notifications.
- Deliver WHS inductions, toolbox talks, and training programmes to staff at all levels.
- Monitor and communicate changes to WHS legislation, regulations, and Safe Work Australia guidance.
- Support the development, testing, and review of emergency response and business continuity plans.
- Prepare monthly WHS performance reports and present findings to senior management.
- Drive a positive, proactive safety culture across all departments and work sites.
- Assist with workers compensation claims and assist with return to work processes
Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or higher), or equivalent qualification recognised in NSW.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a WHS advisory or coordinator role within Australia.
- Demonstrated experience conducting risk assessments, SWMS development, site audits, and incident investigations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites.
- Experience working within manufacturing, warehousing or logistics desirable
