A well-known name in manufacturing and production, with operations spanning the country, is on the lookout for a seasoned Health and Safety Advisor to strengthen their operations team. This is an initial 4-month engagement, with strong potential to roll on further.
You'll be based on-site, embedded within a fast-paced industrial environment, playing a key role in keeping safety standards high and building a culture where safety is second nature to everyone on the floor.
What You'll Be Doing:
Working alongside plant managers, team leaders, and operational staff day-to-day, you'll be the go-to person for safety matters — running inspections, leading risk assessments, digging into incidents when they happen, and pushing forward improvements to how the site manages safety overall.
Your Day-to-Day Will Include:
- Acting as a trusted safety resource for leadership and staff on the ground
- Leading audits, inspections, and risk assessments across the site
- Getting to the bottom of incidents and near misses, then following through on fixes
- Helping embed and improve the site's broader Safety Management System
- Facilitating toolbox talks, inductions, and safety training
- Keeping tabs on WHS compliance against legislation and company policy
- Handling documentation and reporting with accuracy and consistency
- Overseeing contractor safety processes and permit-to-work systems
- A WHS qualification (Diploma or Degree) — or equivalent industry experience
- A track record as a Safety Advisor in manufacturing, industrial, or similarly heavy-duty settings
- Strong grasp of WHS law and how safety management systems work in practice
- Hands-on experience running incident investigations and risk assessments
- A natural communicator who can build trust and influence people at every level
- Someone equally comfortable working solo or as part of a bigger HSE function
- A valid driver's licence
