Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day health, safety, and environmental (HSE) advice and support to site operations and leadership teams
- Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and drive corrective actions
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and hazards, ensuring root cause analysis and effective corrective/preventative actions
- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HSE policies, procedures, and management systems
- Deliver HSE inductions, training, and toolbox talks to employees and contractors
- Monitor compliance with relevant WHS/OHS legislation, codes of practice, and company standards
- Maintain accurate HSE records, statistics, and reporting (including incident/injury data and lead/lag indicators)
- Support emergency preparedness and response planning
- Engage and consult with employees, contractors, and stakeholders to foster a positive safety culture
- Assist with internal and external audits and certification processes
- Diploma or Degree in Work Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Proven experience in an HSE Advisor role or similar, ideally within manufacturing, materials or heavy industry environments
- Sound knowledge of relevant WHS/OHS legislation and regulatory requirements
- Strong incident investigation and risk assessment skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- High attention to detail and strong organisational/time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE reporting/management systems
- Relevant certifications
- Happy to be onsite 5 days a week
