The Role
The HSEQ Manager is responsible for ensuring health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) standards are met across all projects. This role encompasses providing solutions for compliance, project support, risk management, and maintaining accreditation standards in a complex and dynamic EPC environment.
The Responsibilities
- Manage project health, safety and environmental requirements
- Conduct risk assessments and implement preventative measures
- Review policies and ensure compliance with relevant legislation requirements
- HSE reporting to leadership team
- Site attendance to build relationships and understand site challenges
- Promote safety culture through communication and initiatives
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage and maintain QA policies and procedures
- Develop and implement safety procedures specific to high-voltage (HV) operations
- Ensure compliance with HV safety regulations
- Conduct audits of HV systems and operations
- Lead and mentor HSEQ team
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders to uphold HSEQ standards
- Develop and implement HSEQ strategies tailored to specific projects
You will be an experienced HSEQ leader with a minimum Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety and previous experience in renewable energy and High-Voltage environments. In addition, you will display strong knowledge of WHS regulations, ISO standards, and safety management systems. You will be a skilled leader with strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management, with experience in solar, battery storage, and electrical projects preferred.
