The Role
Provide strategic leadership and guidance across a diverse portfolio centred on developing and strengthening the overall safety function. The goal will be to establish and deliver the objectives of the group across Safety, Health, Environment and Quality that combined, form the foundations of a successful organisation.
The Group SHEQ Manager provides strategic direction and practical support to site managers and operational teams. The role champions risk reduction, employee health, environmental sustainability, and quality assurance, ensuring that all activities align with values and strategic objectives. You will support SHEQ development across sites by managing training frameworks that support competency, compliance, and continuous learning.
The role is responsible for managing the overall delivery of these services to the business functions. This requires a strong presence across the operations in Victoria and NSW to understand and support the organisational needs.

Position Objectives
- Demonstrate and drive visible safety leadership programs that deliver a strong safety culture across the group
- Establish and communicate a set of goals, metrics and objectives that provides leadership and guidance that is aligned with values, goals and legislation
- Through participation, partner with business operations to deliver health and safety services that oversee and support operations deliver on their health and safety accountabilities
- Develop, monitor and track SHEQ management plans and provide training and assistance to business units to achieve plan goals
- Support the management of environmental and sustainability goals that ensure overall business compliance and assurance
- Oversee the Quality Management system implementation and ongoing compliance to ISO9001
- Training framework development to support the necessary competency and continuous learning that will enable the successful progress towards SHEQ objectives
- SHEQ system management including the review of technology that ensure it supports and aids its effective operation and implementation
