THE ROLE
The Business Partner, Health and Safety is a Senior Individual Contributor within the National Health and Safety Team, reporting to the state Health and Safety Manager. The role is primarily embedded across the core manufacturing and production operations, with regular reach into additional sites across the state portfolio. There are no direct reports.
This is a genuinely operational role. You will spend significant time on site working alongside production teams, operational leaders, and frontline workers to build capability, identify risk, and drive the H&S strategy into the operation. The real challenge is influence: the business has a long history and operational leaders with strong, established ways of working. Earning credibility with those stakeholders and shifting how they think about safety is central to what this role needs to achieve. The business is also currently transitioning from Tier 2 to Tier 1 supplier status within its parent group, which means the safety function has real opportunity to shape standards at a pivotal moment. Regular interstate trave is a requirement.
