Garry’s early career began in law in Ireland before relocating to Australia in the early 2010’s. He joined Zenergy in 2012, making a change in career direction to the search and recruitment services space, having initially been attracted to Zenergy’s values and the opportunity to work within the Health Safety & Sustainability industry.

 

Over the past 11 years Garry has become known as a leading figure and connector in the Australian Health Safety & Sustainability community. He has been responsible for various industry initiatives and he consults with industry bodies and Australia’s most respected organisations. At Zenergy, Garry is an equity partner and company director, where he oversees the executive search and recruitment services practice nationally. He is accountable for developing and driving the strategic and growth agenda for Australia’s leading organisation in Health Safety & Sustainability search & recruitment.

 

Garry is one of the founders of the Australian Workplace Health & Safety Awards (AWHSA) which is a partnership with Australia's peak industry body – The Australian Institute of Health & Safety. The annual awards aim to recognise organisations and individuals located throughout Australia who have exhibited excellence in field of Health Safety & Sustainability. Garry is well networked and has worked with thousands of people across Australia and has been responsible for some of the countries highest profile recruits. In addition, he was part of the team that delivered Australia’s largest HSEQ bulk recruitment program for a large public sector transport organisation, over 100 permanent HSEQ positions over 18 months.

 

At home he lives on the New South Wales south coast and gets into the ocean most mornings. He is also very proud father to 3 young children, including 2-year-old twin boys!
