Key Responsibilities:
Health & Safety Management
- Develop, maintain and review WHS policies, procedures, and management systems in line with relevant legislation
- Lead incident investigation processes, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Conduct and oversee regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits
- Manage hazard identification and risk control programs across all sites
- Prepare and present safety performance reports, KPIs, and trend analysis to leadership
- Coordinate and manage return to work programs for injured workers in accordance with workers' compensation legislation
- Act as the designated Return to Work Coordinator (or oversee this function)
- Liaise with treating practitioners, insurers, and employees to facilitate timely, safe, and durable RTW outcomes
- Develop and monitor suitable duties programs that support recovery and maintain productivity
- Design and deliver WHS induction and ongoing training programs for all staff levels
- Build safety capability across the workforce by coaching supervisors and frontline teams
- Drive a visible, proactive safety culture with strong leadership engagement
- Ensure compliance with applicable WHS legislation, codes of practice, and standards
- Manage statutory reporting obligations and maintain accurate WHS records and registers
- Coordinate and support internal and external WHS audits and inspections
- Tertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety, Occupational Health, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a WHS management role
- Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or logistics environments highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience managing return to work and workers' compensation claims
